How to Save Hundreds of £££'s!

When it comes to choosing a hot tub, of course, price is an important factor. Many of us have tight budgets, and are concerned that what we buy represents true value for money.

With a hot tub, the expression “buy cheap, pay dear” can often apply. On more than one occasion, people have asked us to remove a hot tub they bought because it was costing them too much to run. Not many people realize the running cost of an unfoamed or poorly foamed spa can be in over 20 times higher than a fully foamed model.

Why are running costs important? Well, a hot tub has to be left on 24/7, a vital factor when considering energy saving properties. Some hot tub dealers, who don’t offer fully foamed models, try to persuade customers away from them. We would urge you to exercise common sense when it comes to insulation. In simple terms, there are two types of insulation: foam or air. Which would you prefer to insulate the walls of your home?

Be a cautious buyer, and ask for hard evidence of a hot tub’s running costs. In our HotSpring World showrooms we offer both fully foamed and partly foamed models, and there is a price difference between them. Although we make models to suit everybody’s budget, we urge customers to factor in lifetime costs, not just headline prices.

As well as saving you masses of money on your energy bill, a fully foamed spa also gives structural integrity and strength, so you get peace of mind knowing your hot tub will last for years to come.
