3. Remote, push-button, real-time Hot Tub monitoring
In 2014, Watkins Wellness™, manufacturer of Hot Spring Spas, introduced Connextion™, a wireless communication system between dealer, owner and tub that operates via a globally-connected app. For any owner connected to computers and phones throughout the day, keeping the spa clean, locked and warm is a matter of a few clicks or taps.
4. Hot Tub filter innovations to minimise maintenance
While the paper filter still does a fine job for many hot tub owners, Hot Spring created an updated alternative: the Tri-X® Ceramic Cartridge.
This filter’s unique design and ceramic material allows twice the water to cross the filter per minute. Some owners get four to six years of use from their Tri-X filters. As an added convenience, the Tri-X filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher (without soap).

Hot tub cabinets today are made from a synthetic material that requires only the dusting and spraying your patio furniture gets from time to time. These cabinets require no stain or weatherproofing; they resist moisture, spa chemicals and sunlight far better than stained wood.
Inner shells, too, have come a long way. Our rigid polymer and advanced non-porous, ABS-backed acrylic hot tub shells are impervious to dirt and germs. Cleaning simply requires wiping during the bi-annual water exchange.
