I’ve spoken for years about the wellbeing benefits of owning a HotSpring spa, but recently I wanted to experience something for myself. I wanted to understand what happens long before that first soak, before the warm water and gentle jets become part of someone’s everyday life. So I spent a full day out on the road with our delivery team, watching and experiencing first hand how a spa makes its journey from vehicle to home.

It becomes clear almost immediately that this is not just a delivery. When the vehicle doors open, the sheer presence and weight of the spa commands attention. Once powered up, the spa begins to come to life. Jets hum quietly, systems settle, and attention turns to water care. Initial treatments are added carefully and measured precisely, setting the foundation for clear, comfortable water. It’s evident how much this step matters. Getting it right from the start makes ongoing ownership simpler and more enjoyable.

The final part of the day is the handover, and it is one of the most important moments to witness. The team walks through the controls, explains how everything works and talks through water care in a clear, reassuring way. Questions are welcomed. There is no rush to leave. The aim is not just to install a spa, but to ensure the customer feels confident and supported.

By the time we step away, the spa is spotless, perfectly positioned, safely installed and ready to be enjoyed. More importantly, the customer feels looked after. There is a genuine sense that the team understands what this spa represents. Not just a product, but a place for rest, recovery, conversation and calm.

Spending the day with the delivery team reminded me that wellness doesn’t begin with the first soak. It begins with care. With physical effort. With attention to detail and pride in doing things properly. This is not just about moving something heavy from A to B. It’s about responsibility and respect.
