How Hydrotherapy in Hot Tubs Can Help You.
2nd August 2011 // Lynda Smart

We take a look into Hydrotherapy and how it can benefit you. Bubbling pools of hot water have been proven to have natural healing powers, this benefits the spirit, mind and body.

Hydrotherapy, formerly called hydropathy, involves the use of water for pain-relief and treating illness. The term hydrotherapy itself is synonymous with the term water cure as it was originally marketed by practitioners and promoters in the 19th century.

If you are suffering from any of the following symptoms: Arthritis, Rheumatism, Sciatica, Aching Joints, Back Pain, Fatigue, Insomnia, Circulation problems, Stress, Muscular pain, Stiffness, Cramps or Tension Hydrotherapy can help you. See how below...

Pain Relief
Hydrotherapy is proven to be a highly effective form of natural therapy which works by stimulating the endorphins which in turn helps you to control pain and alleviate tension. Hot tubs work by releasing millions of large bubbles, which relaxes your muscular tension and helps to reduce swollen joints giving you increased mobility and more importantly lessens your pain.

Circulation
Hot tubs have a remarkable and almost magical ability to improve circulation. Your blood flow takes oxygen and nourishment to all your cells and tissues

Stress
hydrotherapy can provide you with the vital key to breaking the stress cycle of everyday modern life. In today's busy world you can be prone to stress related illnesses which can cause a wide range of physical and psychological problems. For example, high blood pressure, headaches, digestive complaints, insomnia, depression, anxiety attacks, the list is endless.

Complexion
Hot tubs help to regulate your body's temperature control by improving the efficiency of your perspiration glands. This releases the toxins from your body and leaves you with a healthy glowing complexion.

Earlier this month, we read about young Maralise who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia Type 2.

The condition causes her muscles to be constantly tense, causing considerable discomfort, which is only relieved by immersion in warm water. Maralise is only able to have hydrotherapy treatment once a week because there is no where closer to home. When we read about Maralises plight we arranged to donate a hot tub to Maralise and her parents to help with their hydrotherapy needs.

Read more about Maralise here.
